Korean Not Favors iPod!

Apple’s iPod series may be the most popular in lot of countries. But at least not in South Korea. According to a survey performed by GfK Marketing Services Korea, the top three market leaders of are homegrown manufacturer. They are ReignCom/iRiver, Samsung and Cowon with the marketshare of 31%, 14% and 13% respectively. So where is iPod?
According to this survey, iPod gains only 1.8% marketshare of digital audio player in South Korea. With this little amount of sales, iPod only capable to get 13th place among these Korean brands. I think iRiver’s strategy works for most of Korean brands! { via Engadget }
