Do you know that iPod can actually do more than just playing MP3? If you are an iPodder, you may think that iPod has less features compare to other digital audio players. Well, there are plenty of third party application that extends the fun of iPod.
Mathew Honan of Playlist Mag has picked six iPod hacks that should not be left out by iPod enthusiasts. Let see what are they!1. iPodLinux

This is a “must have” hack as it is the king of iPod hacks. Most of the rest of hacks here are developped on iPodLinux. It let you to boot Linux kernel on your 1G, 2G and 3G iPod. Other version of iPods are not officially supported. Its Podzilla GUI allows you to choose which one to boot, either normal iPod or Linux kernel. 2. Doom for iPod

This is the lasted hack the posted on iPodLinux that makes the color iPod to run the bloody Doom. To play Doom in your iPod, you need to have Podzilla and nxwindow installed. 3. Blackjack
If you are not a FPS fan. Then this card game is suitable for you. The hack allows you to play blackjack with your iPod’s Notes application. But you have to load the game into your iPod on each set of games. 4. iPod Home Theater Since the release of iPod Photo, many people are waiting iPod to support video playback in their next release. But Apple has no any responce yet. Well, with iPodLinux installed, you can make it! Now it only works with uncompressed 24-bit AVI video. 5. MapPod If you have a color iPod, you can easily get hack of map without void your warranty. How to make it? Take some screenshoot of maps you need, organized then with iPhoto and download ti your iPod. Done., that’s it! 6. VoxPod
Even though there are accessories that allow for recording with your iPod. But their quality are kinda low, only record 8kHz sound. With VoxPod in your 3G iPod, you can have recording rates of up to 96kHz. Still, you need to have Podzilla installed. Looks cool huh? Why not get a iPod for your own?
