Still remember Dyne Tuny 8 that we mentioned before? in China, it is rebranded to Cube T8. Coincidently, Cube T8 is similar to iPod Nano in both design and functionality.

Cube T8 was introduced as Dyne Tuny 8 before Apple launched iPod Nano. Unfortunately, Tuny 8 do not get too much attention from the public. The design of these two models is similar to each other. They have similar size where iPod Nano is 89×40x7 mm and Cube T8 is 75×37x14.2 mm. Both of them are available in black and white color.

With special deal in NAND flash memory with Samsung, Apple capable to offer its iPod Nano with larger storage capacity and better price. However, if compare to this Cube T8, Apple actually can do better in its iPod Nano.

Cube T8 features a 1.6″ 260K colors TFT LCD display. It is definitely better than iPod Nano’s 1.5″ 65K TFT LCD. Although with color display, Apple still remains not to provide video playback which required by a lof of iPod fans. In this matter Cube performs better as what other Korean makers did. The Cube T8 supports playback of WMV, AVI, MPEG, MPEG-4 formats.

Besides, iPod Nano still lacks of features such as built in FM tuner, voice recording and OGG supports. These features are very common for other players. Currently, iPod users have to purchase third party accessories to enable these features. It is quite troublesome sometimes.

Well, the price offered by Apple is still unbeatable in the market. US$199 for An iPod Nano 2GB is really attractive, at least for me! ;-)
