ViewSonic’s ViewPoP – The Latecomer

The leading provider of visual display product, ViewSonic recently introduced its first ever MP3 player with the name ViewPoP. There are 2 models, P10 and P20 series, were released during the IT Month Exhibition, Taipei. The company aims to focus the products in China, India, Thailand and Malaysia, where the market are not yet overcrowded.

ViewSonic ViewPoP

Specification:

P10 Series

  • 512MB (P103), 1GB (P104)
  • Mono color OLED display (Blue)
  • Supports MP3, WMA, WAV audio playback
  • Built-in FM tuner
  • 1 x AAA battery, Up to 10 hours continuos playback
  • USB 2.0 Full Speed

P20 Series

  • 512MB (P203), 1GB (P204)
  • 2 colors OLED display (Blue + Yellow)
  • Supports MP3, WMA, WAV audio playback

P10 and P20 series are not attractive at all, either specification or design. The design is so dull and the features are just quite basic. I just doubt how does ViewPoP survive in this competitive market!
