January 11th, 2006 by Chi An
Someone has spotted the new ilo 2GB MP3 Player is available at local Walmart store for $158. It is powered by a AAA battery and comes with a belt clip.
Have you seen it? Could it be the Siren SIR or EDGE?

[…] The ilo 2GB MP3 player was first spotted last January at Walmart local stores. Now, Walmart finally decided to sell it online at $158.72 together with an armband. However, it does not come with a memory expansion slot. […]

Yep, I spotted it at Walmart last night. They only have it in red but I don’t know if that’s the only color available. It has 2GB built-in memory but there is no expansion slot like the 1GB one. So, in my opinion, I think the 1GB and 2GB are basically the same and they both have an FM Tuner. You might want to get the 1GB one and then pay for a 1 GB SD memory card later when you really need it. That would save you about $60. However, I think the 2GB looks a lot cuter and smarter than the 1GB one.

is it a good mp3 player to get tho. cuz i have it in layaway, and i just want a real good, cheap, pretty, mp3 player that won’t break or mess up or get on my nerves or anything.

Rachel, I’m not sure about this model. But I received many negative feedback on iLo 1GB MP3 player here. I guess Sandisk Sansa will simply do better than it

so there is a chance that the ilo 2gb red may suck really bad? cuz its i lawaway and i plan on getting it out soon. do u have any thoughts of what kind of mp3 player i should get? i want at least 2 GB, fm tuner, and is a good brand.

I guess Sandisk Sansa M250 should meet all your requirement. It has 2GB, FM tuner, SD card expansion and affordable price

Should be no problem. As long as PlayForSure is supported.

I’ts me Rachel again. I still have no idea what kind of mp3 player i should get. i have so many questions. So if u want to im me, my s/n is peace hippy 421@aim.com. if not then here’s a couple of my questions. I want an mp3 player thats cheap, reliable, and thats compatible with my computer. hp pavilion windows millenium. i was thinking about getting the 2gb ilo, but ive had negative feed back on it. And the songs that i want to download are from bearshare. And my first question is: 1. Can i download songs off of limewire and bearshare? 2. if i were to get an mp3 player that holds like 200 songs, cant i get a memory card? 3. How does the memory card Work? Do i download the songs on the memory card then connect it to my mp3 player? As you can see im very new with these mp3 players and all, my friends have one and i want one. So i’d really really appreciate if u could im me or write me back cuz i have a lot of questions. Thanks.

I’ve got the Ilo 2 gb player in red (yes, bought it from Wal-Mart). I’m simply using it to play MP3 songs, not using the tuner or the record feature, and I’m not having any problems with it. HATED the headphones - made for someone with rather large ears. Replaced them with a set of Sony’s and no complaints.
I’m having a hard time working through Windows Media to download, remove, and upload play lists; however, for those who are familiar with that program I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem at all.

Tierra, see if you could return it. I had the 1 GB before and one of the screens froze. I returned it. Check out the Creative or Sandisk products instead.

OMG those things are A PIECE OF CRAP!! I’ve been to so many other websites and they all say the same thing…one of the buttons got stuck down and now it doesnt work. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME! ugh it makes me sooooooooooo mad! If any of you know a website that I could go to to find the email of the idiots that manufactured this piece of shit, please, don’t hesitate to tell me! Mine lasted for a little over a year and the power button fell into it. If I still have the manual’s booklet and I find an email or something, let’s all send them HATE MAIL!! :@

hey, i got the ilo 2 gig, and i wanted to know how to delete songs?
May 4th, 2007 at 9:48 am
Three words for you: Made in China. My ilo worked fine for a couple of months, but now it’s stuck searching and sorting files forever more. I’ve reformatted it twice to no avail. Stay the heck away from it. A very disappointed customer.

I bought the red 2 GB Ilo last summer. I have honestly never had a problem with it. I paid a little over $100 for it so i don’t know where the $158 figure came into play with this thing. The sorting screen does take a bit longer than it used to but it only happens when i put new music on, delete some old music, or have had a dead battery in it for a long time.
