What’s inside iRiver S10?

When Reigncom first introduced the world smallest MP3 player – iRiver S10, many people were wonder what make it so tiny. Now the secret revealed, it is the new Samsung chip. It is a microcontroller unit that integrates both audio decoder and NAND flash in a single chip. Thus, it made the S10 so compact.

Below is the new Samsung MCU inside the S10. Well, there is not much information regarding this new chip. However, according to the S10 users’ feedback, the tiny MP3 player doesn’t sacrify the audio quality, which is iRiver always proud of.

    Hi! Nice to see the insides. But exactly how do you disassemble the player? I would really like to know because my s10 is broken and the warranty has ended… I need to replace the 3.5mm plug…
