The Impacts of iPod Nano - Part 2

Two weeks ago, I had talked about the impacts of iPod Nano. Now let us continue to rest of the discussion.

One important message from Apple is that its future products will feature color display screen. Apple had combined its iPod and iPod Photo into one product line, where all iPods feature color display. Now, Apple took iPod Mini out of their product list and add in iPod Nano. It brings a clear picture that future iPod wil be equipped with color display. Other manufacturers had felt the pressure from iPod Nano, at least Creative did feel so. They just introduced its Zen Sleek Photo.

Apple admits iPod Nano screen problem

Just few weeks after launching of iPod Nano, there is a lot of complaints about easily scratched iPod Nano and some said they received iPod Nano with broken screen, just like this:

iPod Nano Easily Get Scratched

Is the design of iPod Nano sacrifice its durability? iPod Nano is so slim and lightweight. But it is fragile too! There are lot of users complaints about the scratched screen of their newly bought Nano. Cube T8 vs iPod Nano

Still remember Dyne Tuny 8 that we mentioned before? in China, it is rebranded to Cube T8. Coincidently, Cube T8 is similar to iPod Nano in both design and functionality.

Cube T8 was introduced as Dyne Tuny 8 before Apple launched iPod Nano. Unfortunately, Tuny 8 do not get too much attention from the public. The design of these two models is similar to each other. They have similar size where iPod Nano is 89×40x7 mm and Cube T8 is 75×37x14.2 mm. Both of them are available in black and white color.

The Impacts of iPod Nano - Part 1

It can’t be deny that iPod Nano is an impressive product. But more importantly, it has brought big impacts to the industry of digital audio players. We can know that through recent media coverage of iPod Nano these few days

The debut of iPod Nano tells us that Apple really care about the market of flash-based players. It is a brilliant move of Apple while its iPods sales are growing slowly. Nevertheless, it give a warning signal to the manufacturers such as Creative, Sony, iRiver and other Korean makers that Apple is aiming their market shares!
