Creative quietly listed Zen Micro Photo 4GB in its website without any official announcement. The new ZMP only comes with black color. It holds the same features and dimension as ZMP 8GB. It is still a HDD-based MP3 player. Suggested retail price for the new ZMP is $180. However, you may get it for $160 at Walmart stores.

CNET has just announced its very own Best of CES Awards. CNET editors named Creative’s Zen Vision:M the Best in Show product of CES 2006!

Cementing it as our Best in Show pick is its winning design; any product that cares to take on the stylish iPod must be able to turn heads. Though it’s thicker than the iPod, the Vision:M boasts a sturdy, comfortable feel, a rainbow of color choices, and glossy good looks.

Whether you agree to CNET’s choice or not, Zen Vision:M is indeed the most innovative product of Creative recent days.

There is a lot going for the Zen Vision: M, and true to form, Creative has just created yet another iPod killer to take on the incumbent.

Finally, Creative officially unveils theZen Vision:M after a week of long wait (although it was leaked through a press release of Creative Japan). However, there are 2 more color variations that were not reported yesterday. Pink and blue colors are added in the US version of Zen Vision:M.

Just after the offcial launch in London, Monsternet.org has made a short review of this iPod killer with tons of snapshots.

The Zen Vision:M is rather thick. Not uncomfortably thick, but it looks obese compared with the video iPod. The touch pad is rather comfortable to use, and not overly sensitive like past players (e.g., Zen Micro). The OS is quite responsive.

Creative finally make a real iPod killer! It’s ZEN VISION:M that features a 30GB hard drive! It will be officially launched tomorrow at London. The suggested retail price in Japan is 39,800 Yen (approx US$330).
