iRiver Smart HD Introduced
iRiver K1 is now officially introduced as iRiver Smart HD today. This is the first high definition portable media player of the Korean company. There will be four versions available in the market, as following:
- Basic 8GB @ 229,000 Won (approx US$204)
- DMB 8GB @ 279,000 Won (approx US$248)
- Education 16GB @ 299,000 Won (approx US$266)
- Wifi + DMB 16GB @ 349,000 Won (approx US$310)

i-STATION T9 HD Unveiled

i-Station recently unveiled its latest portable media player T9 HD, which is powered by the advanced Samsung S-3A PC100 processor. It features a 4.3″ TFT multitouch screen @ 480 x 272 pixel resolution.
Its powerful Dynamic Video Engine (DVE) supports high definition playback for DivX, XviD, H.264, WMV, and MKV video. Its audio codec solution is supported by Yamaha chip, where it playbacks MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG, FLAC, APE, WAV, and PCM/ADPCM audio. It can play up to 1o hours of video and 20 hours of audio continuously.
Four colors available for i-Station T9 HD, which are black, white, pink and purple. There are 2 upgraded versions available, which supports DMB and WIFI. Actual launching date and price are still unknown.

iMuz Introduces MU959 with Vibe Touch

Korean iMuz recently introduces its new PMP MU959, which comes with a vibrating touch technology – Vibe Touch. The vibration works when there is an input through its 3″ touch screen.
Running on a dual-core processor chip, iMuz MU959 does support various media format, including MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, APE and FLAC for audio, and MPEG4, DivX3/4/5, XViD, RM/RMVB, and FLV for video. Besides it also supports Microsoft’s PlayFX for enhanced audio experience.
This PMP is available for 79,000 Won (approx. US$65) in black and pink color.

Window G21 4GB for $44

China-based Window (read, not Windows) recently introduce their new line-up G21. It features a 16:9 3″ screen with 400 x 240 pixel resolution. It supports playback for RM/RMVB, MPEG4(AVI), WMV, FLV videos; MP3, WMA, ACC audio, and FLAC, APE lossless audio. It also supports Microsoft’s PlayFX audio enhancement.
UI is the most impressive part for Window G21. The company names it as G-Sensor. It is some sort of force feedback thingy. The UI will flip as you flip the player. The player will vibrate as you press on its button. Worth to try for just $44

MPIO Is Back with V10

The Korean MPIO was quiet for sometimes in the industry. Now, the company is back with the new MPIO V10. It is the PMP powered by OMAP 2 processor and run on Windows CE 5.0 as it’s core system. It uses 4GB/8GB Solid State Drive as its storage media, and SD card extension.
It features a 3″ TFT LCD touch screen @ 480 x 272 pixel resolution. Beside audio and video playback, the V10 also comes with TV-Out support, built-in FM tuner, and etc. The battery life is about 5 hours for video playback.
The new MPIO V10 is now available in its official website at the price of 228k Won (approx US$230) for 4GB version and 268k Won (approx US$270) for 8GB version.
