Japanese AVC Technology finally decided to officially release its SIGNEO SN-A250 MP3 player on 25th March 2006. It was first introduced October 2005 and scheduled to be available December 2005 or January 2006. However, it was delayed until this March for some reasons.
The suggested prices for SIGNEO SN-A250 are 11,800 Yen (approx US$100), 15,800 Yen (approx US$135), 19,800 Yen (approx US$170) for 256MB, 512MB and 1GB respectively.
AVC Technology announced today that the company has put off the the release of its Signeo SN-M550. The flash-based MP3 player was scheduled to be released in this month. With the new developed Lithium Polymer battery, it is expected capable to play MP3, WMA, OGG, and WAV audio up to 130 hours continuosly.
However, the company has faced some technical difficulties during the development with the new battery. These problem are not able to be solved shortly. Thus, the release of SN-M550 is delayed.
