When specification of iAudio U3 was first unveiled, some iAudio fans guessed that it is no longer using Cowon’s favourite Sigmatel chips. They claimed that Sigmatel’s STMP3520 can’t produce powerful output as iAudio U3 does (30mW + 30mW). Now, this statement is proved to be true. Chinese iMP3.net has cracked an iAudio U3 into pieces. What actually inside in it?

Cowon Japan has just released a new model in their official website, called iAudio U2 Pro Tunes. U2 Pro Tunes is only available in Silver color and 1GB of storage capacity. Major specification is exactly same as a normal iAudio U2. U2 Pro Tunes has unique equlizer settings by four famous Japanese artists. Its position is similar as iPod U2 and iPod.

Cowon has recently updated its Korean website, iAudio.com with detailed specification of upcoming iAudio U3. It is introduced as mini Movie MP3 by the company. It is estimated to be available on 17th October 2005. iAudio U3 is likely to be the first flash-based MP3 player that supports playback of FLAC format.

Cowon has recently launched its latest iAudio M5 in Korea. It is an iAudio X5 without color screen and video support. Well, iMP3.net capable to get an engineering sample to be tested before the launching.

The new JetAudio VX includes Video Converter program which can convert most of movie files to MPEG4 files. However, there is no update information for new JetShell.
